Online Video Marketing-Your Business is Dead in the Water Without It!
By Nicky
Yep it’s true Online Video Marketing is HOT right now and it’s been reported that by the year 2015, over 90% of the web will be video based (source Comscoe and Webvisible).
90% – Wow!!
But it’s not 2015 yet, it’s 2012, so you have time to get ahead of the trend and your competition if you act now .
You see the internet changed everything for business owners a few years ago as we were able to reach people the other side of the world who may be looking for our product or service. But sadly it didn’t take long before the internet was hit by spammers and scammers and the once trusting internet user who was happy to give away their email address is now extremely wary and untrusting of the so called “gurus” marketing their courses.
So why is online video marketing so important to help overcome this?
Online Video marketing has brought about a massive change to the way that we do business. It has brought back the “personal” aspect to marketing. There is something about being able to see someone’s eyes when you talk that is reassuring to your prospect or customer – people make judgements almost immediately on whether or not they like you or trust you. Remember people do business with people they know, like and trust – video brings back an element of personal touch when you are a long way away from your prospect.
Here’s a few facts about online video marketing for you:
Using a video to show or demonstate your product on an ecommerce site is 45% more likely to sell than one without (Source Real SEO)
Videos engage over 80% of your brain function compared to just 7% for a text document, email or advertisement.
Online video marketing is 53 times MORE likely to drive a first page ranking than just using SEO (source Forrester GRP)
And here’s my favourite one of all:
Video emails have shown open rates in excess of 100% because the video is reviewed multiple times and then forwarded on!
I myself have seen a 50% more click through rate on my autoresponder emails since using video email – which I think is pretty substantial don’t you?
In the last few months of last year, I was conscious that I needed to look for an online video marketing tool, but I kind of put it to the back burner as I was focusing on my facebook product creation.
Then something happened that made me realise i needed to think about it a lot more!
A colleague and I noticed that there appeared to be a real need to help our team in getting set up with the marketing system we use and so we decided to start doing some training webinars to help our team.
There is just so much information out there now, that people are getting confused, they stop taking action because they are suffering with information overload and not knowing which way to turn which eventually leads to zero profits and another failed business.
Our weekly webinar training had a dramatic effect in that it increased my team active rate by 20%, so I knew we needed to continue with these trainings.
So now that’s two tools that have increased my stats – a video email tool and a webinar tool.
Then I came across a suite of 5 tools that did all of this and so much more. I only joined the business because of the tools even though I knew it was a great business operating through the distribution method of Network Marketing but I wasn’t interested in that because I have a primary business opportunity with Numis.
BUT…… I’m a marketer.
If there’s a chance I can get a return on my investment, then of course I will take a look. What I saw was extremely impressive (and trust me I know a good or bad compensation plan when I see one!).
So not only do I have a suite of 5 fantastic tools to use in my business that i was already converted on, but because I had already had such good results I found it VERY easy to promote and have built a team of over 30 distributors in one month just by personally sponsoring 5 people in my first week.
Are you curious to take a look?
Don’t sit on the sidelines. Get ahead of the converging trend of online video marketing and take a look at this game-changer of a tool – you won’t regret it - we are building a phenomenal team.
Take a look at this online video marketing tool called MyVideoTalk, then lets talk about a video strategy for you to use in your business.

Hi Nicky,
Using videos adds a personal touch to your marketing campaign, a touch that other mediums just can’t deliver.
Seeing a living, breathing person deliver a message can create an instant connection. As you note, watching videos engages more of our brain, and is a much more stimulating experience.
Thanks for giving me a kick in the video creation tush…I’ve shot over 800 but have pulled back recently and your post is a reminder to get back in the game!
Thanks for sharing Nicky!

It’s true Ryan and I must admit i used to be terrified of doing videos but now it just seems
almost like having a conversation with someone and that’s probably the best way – if it goes
a bit wrong, then so what? A conversation is not always perfect, but so long as you get the
message across in a way that makes an impact, then that is perfect to help with online
video marketing of the product or service.

Great post, video marketing is strategy that I am passionate and have a strongly believe in. It helps me to come out of my comfort zone and gives the personal touch and to make it better, it helps your seo rankings too.
However Nicky, do the video emails work? I still thing you can easily send a youtube link via an email message.
awesome post Nicky, Keep up the good work!

Hey Kenny, great to see you here.
– it might give you a fright !! haha)
Funnily enough you are on my list of people to show this to for the exact reason you mention
(i.e that you love video) and you are comfortable with it. I will send you a sample one
tomorrow ( I already have my PJs on tonight
Do video emails work? Well lets put it this way – take a look at your click through rate on
your video in your autoresponder – what percentage is it. I didn’t use to put video links
in mine so I have nothing to compare it to, but when I started sending a couple of video
emails as opposed to text emails the click through rate (not the open rate) went up to 60%!!
People are fascinated by it and especially when you are able to brand yourself so
powerfully – it just opens up your whole market of opportunity too Kenny as it is a suite of
5 tools not just the v-email.

I know what you’re talking about Nicky and I’ve written about it numerous times over on my blog about how video is exploding so if you don’t get on board you’ll be left behind.
I saw the program you’re talking about briefly about a month ago. I friended someone on Facebook and when I checked out their link it took me to this program. Didn’t want to really look at it then.
My question to you is do you replace your current autoresponder with this system or can you incorporate the two because I know not everyone likes to view videos all the time. Just curious.
Thanks for this information and will look forward to your response.

Yes you are not kidding about the webinar software – that it itself is worth the cost of the membership alone, but I have to say I am having the most fun with the v-emails!
I can see you have a lot on your plate right now so just let me know if you want to see more of the tools when you’re ready.

Hi Nicky,
What a great reminder to us all marketers. The video certainly make a more personal rapport with our potential customers, because sooner or later we are going to have to show that face of ours on a video.
So far I’ve managed to show only my computer screen, but I’m getting a camera this week, as a matter of fact, and yes, I will show my face out there
Thanks you for this super great info

Like anything – a little practice and it is a lot easier and I no longer have to do 52 “takes” to get it right! (yes I really did do that once !!)

Great reminder, Nicky… time to get out the video camera.
One thing people get hung up on is how they look or sound on a video. As in pictures, most people don’t like how they look in a “talking head” type video.
But there are alternatives. Mix it up with some screenshots or a powerpoint presentation. Show pictures while you speak “behind the scenes.”
You don’t always have to be there, front and center. If this is holding you back, let go of it and get moving! Like you said, Nicky… don’t get left behind!

Ohh that was me Bob!! We are our own worst critics and I hated the way I sounded on video. I also have somewhat unruly curly hair too, it was ages before I could get round to doing a video
because every time there was mist or damp in the air, my hair would frizz and I was too vain
to do a video haha!!
Now…..well lets just say that I’m not quite so bothered. The message is more important!! And
exactly as you say Bob, you can mix it up with screen videos and “how to” videos!

So true yet so nerve-wracking. Those of us who never recovered from our dads with Polaroids had better get used to the camera!
The statistics on video are ridiculous. I agree, it’s the way to get attention, build trust and connect with people you may never actually meet in person.
I want to thank you for this reminder but I think I’m just too panicked right now, lol

Hi Nicky,
Great article filled with truth! Video is a huge driving force behind web traffic these days and it also allows people to feel they are engaging with a real person. Especially in the industry we’re working in, it’s important to bring some “human touch” into the communications.
I have looked at MyVideoTalk and am happy you’re enjoying it! I am using Talk Fusion, but they’re pretty similar in a lot of ways.

It’s interesting that you got on board with MyVideoTalk…I’ve been considering this myself for all the reasons you’ve mentioned. I know personally that I’ll watch a video on the Internet way before I’ll waste my time watching anything on the television. And what a great way to teach the skills needed to build your primary business by creating a video webinar that teaches more than one person at a time, several times, if needed.
Thanks for the post,

The connection power of video is amazing! You’re right on the money with how powerful video is for online marketing and branding.
Like Cat I use Talk Fusion and jumped in as a way to help my blogging friends (tribe partners) increase their exposure and leverage the templates to promote their brand.
I sneaked a peak at the video reply you left for Adrienne. Very nice! And you’re right the simple template to showcase your blog is perfect. just like the html email templates. Brand exposure breeds that familiarity.

Agreed. Videos are amazing in so many ways. Relationships are built on virtual-autopilot. I couldn’t imaging calling, talking to, building relationships, and following up with every single person who had interest in my content. Seriously. That would be insane. Videos simplify my life.
Yes, videos rank better, as well. I like that

Love it Nicky!! Video is the way to go! Heck it put me right in the Internet Marketers hall of fame! The majority of my leads and business comes from video and what is interesting is that when I call my leads they feel as if they already know me and that is a serious relationship starter.. I love My Video Talk for this especially since it’s so easy to customize the look and feel of the atmosphere where the video is with your brand or biz. One of the main reasons I joined was the ability to customize for sure and not to mention the 77% pay out when sharing.

Apologies for the late reply to this, for some reason your comment went to my spam folder.
You could just put video into your email simply by putting a picture of the video and making the link clickable to your youtube video, however I use My Video Talk – It's not only a great suite of tools but you are able to personalize your videos if you want to show people how they can insert their blog or website templates – it's so easy to do too!
