Advocare Review – Here’s What They Won’t Tell You!

Advocare ReviewYou probably found this Advocare Review because you were searching for information on the company, their products, and the business opportunity. The words Advocare scam can be found dotted around the internet and it is my wish to put things into perspective for you and let you into a little known secret that the Advocare reps will definitely not be telling!

This review is coming to you from an independent third party who has a huge amount of experience in the Network Marketing industry in general, so there is absolutely no bias in what I am going to share with you. Please read this entire article, because at the end there will be some important information for you concerning how you can be a top performer with Advocare, should you decide that this company is right for you, but more importantly the one big secret about this company that their reps definitely won’t tell you!

Advocare Review | the Company

You should know that Advocare is a premier health and wellness company, offering a wide variety of products for those who are in need of energy, weight loss, nutrition, and peak performance too.  As a result of the quality products, Advocare has continued to receive rave reviews regarding the company and the research behind it all.

Advocare is also known for its great care in how they teach their consultants to live debt free. With that being said, in 2002 the company released a program called Debt Busters in order to help people learn how to handle creditors and pay off debts. As a result, the company received an award from the Direct Seller’s Association that would catapult them into the top rankings of network marketing companies.

This company has shown steady growth since that time, and with the Success School events, the company’s leaders take great care in making sure that those who are getting started get all of the training and momentum they need to carry on their business.

Advocare Review | the Products

Part of this Advocare Review is to share with you the various segments of the products that are designed to help you get started on your journey to perfect health and wellness. The various products include the Trim, Active, Well, Performance Elite, and the skincare line which is known as Definite Difference.

Advocare was one of the first companies to have a Scientific Medial Advisory Board, which was there to not only give credibility to the company, but to make a point that the products were nothing less than the highest of quality. With high quality ingredients and standardized extracts, it’s no surprise that so many use the Advocare products for better digestion and absorption.

This means that whatever nutrients the body takes in, it will absorb them and actually be able to use them. Those who use the products in conjunction with a balanced diet are getting an optimal result, which proves the product is nothing less than amazing.

Advocare Review | the Business Opportunity

Okay so you know a bit more about the products but what about the Advocare business opportunity? Advocare positions their business opportunity so that all distributors have 5 ways to earn money. This includes retail customers, distributorship at 20% earnings, and a 40% discount on the product, and of course the money that you can earn when you recruit others into the business.

When you join at the 40% level as a distributor, then you get the business builder opportunity. This Advocare Review is to point out to you that it is at this level is where you can make the most money possible.   Can most folks buy in at the $3,000 level?  No, so again, it’s wise to ask all the questions about what level you should join at, and at what level you can earn a residual income.

Advocare Review | What other Reps definitely Won’t Tell you?

Now that you have read this entire Advocare Review, I have something to share with you so you can make an educated decision about whether this is for you or not.

For as many Advocare reps who are making money with their business, there are 5 times as many making nothing, or even losing money with their Advocare business and there is a key reason for this:

The reasons is that most people getting started, treat their business as a hobby and have no knowledge of how to build a Network Marketing business.  (Oh and by the way, it’s not their fault, because this is what they’re told by the inexperienced rep trying to sign them up!)

What I mean by that is, if you are not talking to at least 10 people a day about your Advocare business, (i.e networking) and not promoting yourself as a viable person to work with (i.e marketing) then you are not doing enough to generate a stream of prospects to talk to.  So you can imagine, most people are not doing anything like enough to build a business and actually end up spending money on advertising or buying leads and their business ends up costing them money rather than earning them money.

The average network marketer in the industry in general (and not just with Advocare) lasts just 3 months.

And 80% of your team will do nothing (FACT!).

So when you understand these statistics you’ll realise that you need to sponsor a LOT of people to make this truly work for you.  But most distributors run out of money before ever getting any of their team to duplicate.

So what’s the answer?

Advocare Review – Action plan for success

1)  Write down what you want from your business – what I mean by that is, you need to know your income goals and where you want to go with this.   Failing to do this, is like jumping in the driving seat of the car with no idea of where you’re going or what your route is going to be.

2)  Take time to learn the business that you’re in.  And I don’t just mean Advocare – I mean Network Marketing.  The clue is in the name – take time to learn how to build your network and how to market your business properly by learning some simple online marketing strategies.

Here’s 5 Simple Strategies to Generate 25 FREE Leads a Day

3)  Choose your sponsor wisely – this is very important.  Choose someone who has the online marketing skills that you want to acquire, and of course someone who is already achieving what you want to achieve.  Ask them to map you out how you can earn a residual income of $1,000 per month and how many people /sales you would need to sponsor to achieve that.  (This will be a stumbling point for many sponsors as most will never have achieved a residual income of $1,000 a month.)

4)  Now this one is contentious and probably NOT what you want to hear if you’re seriously considering Network Marketing as a choice of home business…….. but that’s what this review is for.  To give you the FACTS.

So here goes…..

Network Marketing does create more millionaires than any other industry – it’s true – that’s a fact.   BUT, and it’s a BIG but……. it is also true that the way the commission structure works in most MLMs you would have to have hundreds, if not thousands of people in your downline to achieve a full time income.

The reason for this is that most MLMs pay about 5-10% on your team’s sales activity.  Think about that for a minute if you are serious about wanting to leverage the power of a team for residual income (which is the obvious goal if you are in Network Marketing).  For every $100 of product sold, you are going to earn a measly $5.

THIS is why there is such a HUGE failure rate (97%) in the industry and why so many people drop out when you have just spent ages trying to recruit them.

Add on to that the fact that if you do end up being good at it – you may end up working more hours than you ever did in your day job, because everyone will want you to help them recruit, do home parties, presentations, webinars etc.

Now don’t get me wrong – there are people who just take to Network Marketing like a duck to water and you could very well be one of them if you a natural networker, have plenty of time, a budget to advertise and are willing to learn new skills.  But there are not too many people like that.

Listen, I don’t want to put you off, because I worked with a wonderful Network Marketing company for 5 years and DID manage to build a reasonable sized team with a “pocket money” type income (less than $500)………BUT I joined for the whole lifestyle change and I wanted a lot more, so I knew I had to figure out a way of being able to sponsor a LOT more people.

Thanks for stopping by Paul – are you associated with this company?

  3. Maggie Taylor says:

When I first saw this posting I thought I was about to read something very negative and unfavorable about Advocare. However, that was not the case so I commend you on your classy approach & remaining trul unbiased. There are a few things I would like to correct ‘facts’ about the process. First, distributors do not enter into the company at the 40% discount….nor are they eligible to generate the 5 different types of income Advocare offers. Becoming a distributor is much like joining Costco or Sams Club, you pay $79.99 (plus shipping & tax) for a year membership. then in 7-10 business days you will receive 2 different products (Spark & Slam) which comes to a $50 value. Also, distributors are given a 25% discount off products. Secondly, the affiliation you described as being a distributor is actually the Advisor status. This entails the 40% discount (which is for life) & are also eligible to generate the 5 levels of income. Thirdly, & probably most revelantly important, the cost of becoming an Advisor is not $3000. Yes, you will receive $3k worth of products in the mail, but remember that 40% discount? It also applies to your advisor order. This is why it’s called ‘The Game Changer’ you receive $3k worth of products to use or sell in one single fee of $2100. You essentially can sell & make back ALL $2100. So you do the math…less than $1000 out of pocket, $900 to be exact. Lastly, and although I do agree with your statement about most people treating advocare as a hobby not being satisfied with their business they have with advocare. Advocare doesn’t promise to give you a secret that overnight you will become a millionaire, furthermore what about the saying ‘if it’s not worth working hard for it’s not worth having’ or ‘nothing in life is free?’ In the same sense advocare doesn’t promise a magic pill to make you skinny & fit overnight either. What they do provide is the TOOLS and the opportunity to be the commander of your own destiny. That is why they provide other options to becoming an advisor & achieving the level of success the company was built on. This approach is recommended for those who aren’t financially in a position to put out $2100 or who need to learn & experience the business side first. You must first joint as a distributor as I described before then you become eligible to meet designated sales quotas over a period of 6 weeks. You EARN your advisor ship as well as get a feel of what it takes to be a top earner. Another option is to recruit someone who is in a position to Juno straight to being a ‘Game Changer’ following a small required sales goal must be met. It is sad to me that there are people reading this in regards to the comment you made about ‘sponsors not caring’ I realize there are people not fully capable if grasping & passing on the true mission of Advocare, so I agree it is important to join under a string lineage & also one that you can see yourself working closely with.

Thanks for the updates Maggie – How is this going for you?

  5. Candice says:

Advocare is a scam. They use a horrible pyramid scheme that makes it hard to earn any money. What a horrible experience this was. Plus, I have used the advocare product while I was an advisor, and found them to be less effective than the things I was using before. Stop Bullshitting people. Its and expensive ripoff that doesn’t work half as well as other products.

  6. Frank Holder says:

It’s amazing to me. No matter the industry or the company, there ALWAYS
seems to be an EXPERT who can give you all of the advice and information
on everythiing. The truth be known, they make more money off the folks who order THEIR program than the ever made in MLM. Advocare is NOT a scam, as Candice tries to get people to believe. Her failure to succeed in MLM does
not mean it is not a ligitimate industry. Like any other industry, there are those who make it to the top and those who don’t. Why do you think there are
only one bank CEO(who most likely started out as a teller or loan officer) or one Commander In Chief of the United States.
I can speak from experience. I am one who DID NOT succeed in MLM, but make no mistake, it was NOT the fault of MLM/NETWORK MARKETING).
Candice needs to put on her big girl panties and deal with it.

  7. Nicky says:

I’m sorry you had such a bad experience Candice but although I am not involved with Advocare, I can assure you that they are not a scam. The “pyramid” scheme you refer to is in fact the direct sales method through Network Marketing and as such, requires people to share the opportunity and the products through “Networking” with people and also “Marketing” their business. Both of these take skills which a lot of the MLM/Network Marketing companies do not teach effectively (which I am not saying is the case here as I do not know what training Advocare provide to their reps).

Your opinion of the product is of course entirely up to you,
    I wish you well,

  8. Nicky says:

Thank you for your comments Frank and I agree that failure in MLM does not make the business a scam.

I also failed horribly in my first Network Marketing programme until I realised that I needed to learn some new skills. It took me quite a while to do so, and this is the key – MOST people will not take the time to do that. It is sometimes the fault of the Company to allow the uneducated affiliates to claim that this is a simple business. Truth be known – it IS a simple business that anyone CAN do – but most WON’T because they have to learn the skills to be successful, they need to take massive action to make it work, and they have to persist when most others would give up.

THAT is why “most” people fail at Network Marketing.
Your own recognition that this was not the fault of the MLM program in question is a mature one and I am sure you will have (or are already having) success in other aspects of your life.

    Thanks for stopping by,
