Amsoil Review| Here’s What They Won’t Tell You

amsoil review

You probably found this Amsoil Review while searching for information on the company before you sign on the dotted line – you are certainly a smart consumer to do so.

This review is completely independent so as to provide you with information on the company, what it has to offer and the opportunity to earn money with the company as well, but please read right to the end where I explain the one thing the Amsoil reps definitely Won’t be sharing with you.

Look out for my FREE Network Marketing Report too!

Amsoil Review | the Company

In this Amsoil Review, I want to share with you what the company makes and what they stand for so that you understand what the business opportunity involves. The Amsoil Company is located in Superior, Wisconsin, and has been around since 1972.

When Amsoil first arrived on the scene, it was known for synthetic lubricants and filters, and it was also widely known as the company that was The First in Synthetics.

Simply put, Amsoil is a name that you might be familiar with when you hear a conversation about motor oil, lubricants, engine oil, or even air filters. The company was actually founded by Albert Amatuzio, who had spent time working with lubricants for jets while he was in the US Air Force, and then decided to create one that would be suitable for vehicles as well.

Amsoil knew that the opportunity was tremendous for their company to grow, and so it was that they chose the MLM business model to market their products.

Amsoil Review | the Business Opportunity and the Compensation

With this Amsoil Review it’s also important that I give you the details on the business opportunity and the compensation so that you fully understand how you can and will make money with Amsoil.

Those who wish to become a part of the Amsoil Company become what is referred to as an Independent Dealer. Because this product is a viable one and it’s unique in the MLM industry, there is no doubt that it would be a profitable business to be in to say the least. There is definitely a need for motor oil, always!

So, with that being said, how do distributors make their money with Amsoil? There are 6 ways in which you can earn money with Amsoil, including personal retail sales, catalogue sales, sales that occur from product on the shelf, commercial accounts, sponsoring new dealers or customers, and of course your internet sales.

So, you get several avenues by which you can earn your income, which means you have more chances than other businesses out there. Remember with Amsoil having a unique product there is less competition out there when it comes to direct sales and the likelihood is that once you get a good customer, then provided you look after them….you will keep them.

Amsoil Review | Why Some People Don’t Make Money with Amsoil

While Amsoil is a unique opportunity, always keep in mind that you still need to treat this like a business because it is a business. You MUST brand yourself as a leader in order to beat the competition, because new recruits need to be led.

Okay so what’s the one thing that the Amsoil reps definitely won’t be telling you?  Well many Amsoil reps are really struggling and for as every Amsoil rep who is making money with their business there are at least 5 times as many either making no money, or worse, losing money!

The problem within the industry and not just in Amsoil is that reps are told this is easy and that it’s not “selling”.  This is Network Marketing and when a product exchanges hands for money then it is selling!  So unless you know how to network with people and understand marketing, then you have a steep learning curve to conquer first.

With no experience of network marketing training and quite often a sponsor who has no experience either, then many Amsoil reps are disheartened when  95% of the people who they show their business to will say No (FACT!) .

The key point I want to make here in this Amsoil Review, is that you will receive training on how to approach people you know about the business.  But many distributors feel uncomfortable with this, so who do you talk to about your business when you run out of people?

Putting it bluntly (and this is what the Reps definitely won’t tell you) is that unless you are talking to at least 10 people a day about your Amsoil business, then you are never going to have enough sign ups in your business to deal with the huge amount of people who drop out after a couple of months.

The average Network Marketer (and not just in Amsoil) lasts just 3 months because if they don’t start to see an income coming in, then they will leave.

It’s like filling up a bucket with water that has holes in it.

Then when you do find people who want to stick around – then you may still only ever achieve poxy 5-10% commissions.

Amsoil Review| Your Action Plan for Success

So here’s my top Amsoil Review advice to building a successful business.

1)  Write down what you want from your business – what I mean by that is, you need to know your income goals and where you want to go with this.   Failing to do this, is like jumping in the driving seat of the car with no idea of where you’re going.

2)  Take time to learn the business that you’re in.  And I don’t just mean AmsOil– I mean Network Marketing.  The clue is in the name – take time to learn how to build your network and how to market your business properly by learning some simple online marketing strategies.

How to Build a 5-Figure Monthly Income with an Internet Business

3)  Choose your sponsor wisely – this is very important.  Choose someone who has the online marketing skills that you want to acquire, and of course someone who is already achieving what you want to achieve.  Ask them to map you out how you can earn a residual income of $1,000 per month and how many people /sales you would need to sponsor to achieve that.

4)  Now this one is contentious and probably NOT what you want to hear if you’re seriously considering Network Marketing as a choice of home business…….. but that’s what this review is for.  To give you the FACTS.

So here goes…..

Network Marketing does create more millionaires than any other industry – it’s true – that’s a fact.   BUT, and it’s a BIG but……. it is also true that the way the commission structure works in most MLMs you would have to have hundreds, if not thousands of people in your downline to achieve a full time income.

The reason for this is that most MLMs pay about 5-10% on your team’s sales activity.  Think about that for a minute if you are serious about wanting to leverage the power of a team for residual income (which is the obvious goal if you are in Network Marketing).  For every $100 of product sold, you are going to earn a measly $5.

THIS is why there is such a HUGE failure rate (97%) in the industry and why so many people drop out when you have just spent ages trying to recruit them.

Add on to that the fact that if you do end up being good at it – you may end up working more hours than you ever did in your day job, because everyone will want you to help them recruit, do home parties, presentations, webinars etc.

Hmmmmm – Listen, I don’t want to put you off, because I worked with a wonderful Network Marketing company for 5 years and DID manage to build a reasonable sized team with a “pocket money” type income (less than $500)………BUT I joined for the whole lifestyle change and wanted a lot more.

By now you may be starting to realise that this is not quite as simple as finding 2 people who will duplicate and build you a massive business….

here is why the scamsoil reps don’t make money. They don’t stock shit. They offer nothing but excuses on why it takes weeks to get a shipment from a distribution center two hours away.

I’m not going to totally disagree with you on the hard work part, but your figures on earnings are not telling the entire story. Yes, residual from other dealers is around 5-10%, however you can earn a nice 23% from your own volume. I’m not full time in Amsoil, but I think an income that has averaged $1800-$3500.00/month for the last 10 years is worth taking a look at.

I don’t even sponsor that many new dealers as I earn most of my 23% commission from fleet accounts. No business is hard if you learn as much as you can about the products. The best thing about Amsoil and you failed to mention this and that is everybody uses oil. I have a never ending supply of new business.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Steve – I actually wrote this review a very long time ago (which shows the power of blogging 😉 )
I also totally agree with you that no business is hard if you take the time to learn the skills required. Sadly most people don’t and this review is designed to show people that Network Marketing is not necessarily all that it is “sold” as – when you have a great product like this and a dealer who knows how to sell it, then it’s a win/win. Congrats on your success.

That Steve guy is a knucklehead with an Attitude. I am looking at Amsoil but don’t want his help LOL.
You said early in your review “There is definitely a need for motor oil, always!”.

But the Dork says this; “you failed to mention this and that is everybody uses oil”.

    Oh well,

Looking at Amsoil as a business, and don’t really have a sales background. I’m retired USAF and OTR trucker with some health issues but willing to learn!

Hi Kenan – As a retired trucker I’m sure you are very well qualified to understand the product (much more than I am) and this could work well for you. However as with anything new, there will be a learning curve. This is a Network Marketing company which means you get paid not only on the sales that you make but also on a percentage of the sales of personally recruited team members. This means that you need to be networking (to recruit people) and marketing ( to sell the product). I am not affiliated in any way with this Company and would strongly suggest you seek out a mentor who is doing very well both in sales and also recruiting team members so that you have the support and training that you need.
You may find this article of interest that I wrote about the Network Marketing industry:

    Hope that helps,
