What are the MLM secrets to success?
Well let’s start at the basics – here’s the MLM secrets that the successful people understand and others don’t.
Firstly, why do people join the MLM/Network Marketing and direct sales industry?
Well it could be for a couple of reasons – they may need more money (common theme) or maybe they really do have an entrepreneurial mindset and genuinely want their own business (hot prospect!).
Many people who join an MLM are looking for an alternative way to make a living. We call this “living” money. As an entrepreneur, we need to show them the MLM secrets to successful business building and that starts with helping people to understand the bigger picture by encouraging them to think about “lifestyle” money and not “living” money.
Here’s some startling facts.
That means 80% of people will never reach an average standard of living. But YOU can control which percentage you fall into by expanding your beliefs about what you are capable of.
You see if you think of MLM as an alternative way of making a living and think that you will “give it a go”, the minute the going gets tough, it is likely you will give up.
I wrote an article the other day on Goal Mapping in MLM and it’s a great place to start to get yourself in the right mindset. Think about the 5 things you would do if time and money were no issue? I mean REALLY drill down to what would truly make you happy.

If you can’t think of anything that will really motivate you, it is highly likely that you would give up on your business the first time something didn’t go right.

From aged 25 – 65 years old you have 40 years to achieve your dreams.
We all have 24 hours in a day.

- Mixing with negative people
- Procrastination
- Television/DVDs

- Shopping for things you don’t need
- Looking for lost things
- “whilst I’m here”
- Gossip
- Complaining
- Texting
- Jokes
- Internet surfing
- Reading celebrity magazines
What can you cut out of your day to free up some time? I cut out the last 14 items on this list and saved myself 15 hours a week. Do you think you can you build a business and achieve MLM success in 15 hours a week?

Hi Timothy,
If you are just starting out , then a good marketing system like MLSP teaches you all the basics from setting up your own blog (step by step), how to use Attraction Marketing to attract people to you, and then covers just about every aspect of online marketing you could possibly need. If you went through this training you would soon find out if online marketing is what you want to do.
In terms of personal development – the desire comes from within – what is it you are seeking? When you know that, then you need to study the subject until you become an expert. Then you have something of value to share and others who want to know what you know, will be attracted to you. This is the law of attraction in action.

Hi Nicky,
The tree is a nice visualisation. I think people often aim for the top but forget that they have to go through all the middle stages before they get there and more important, its very hard work.
Cutting out a lot of your list is a start but sticking to it is what makes you stand out.

You are dead right about making sacrifices. I don’t care if it is MLM or something else. If you really want results you are going to have to focus on the part of that job that actually brings in the money. One good example would be when you are building up your website. If you want to build up a really successful blog, you are going to have to make time to promote that blog through some means. You aren’t going to just be able to build it and wait. That would be a disaster. You sometimes have to get out there and do some real work in order to get results. That real work is probably going to be some aspect of that job that you really don’t like doing.

I love this Nicky!! People are absolutely wasting time on un necessary things! This is kind of crazy but I actually canceled my cable so I could limit the distractions in my life. I get way more done now and I think it’s much better for my kids too!! I am so glad I stopped by your post because you really made some great points and gave away alot of great tips!! Thanks April – great job cancelling the cable – my husband is too addicted to sport to let me do that but the biggest one for me is the “while I’m there” – i.e just popping upstairs and noticing a mess in the children’s room is terribly hard to leave and decide to do later! Work time is one thing and housework time is another! Have to get tough with myself!
