Blog Traffic Generation Tips for Article Marketing Part Two
By Nicky
On a previous article I was discussing the logic and the science behind traffic generation to your blog and I explained how you can find the targeted traffic that you dearly want for your wonderfully crafted articles and beautiful looking blog!
You can read it here: Traffic Generation for Article Marketing Part 1
To be fair, there are literally dozens of traffic generation strategies that you could use, but I’ve put together some places where you can syndicate your blog content to, to create a link back to your article and blog. Before we go through those, just take a moment to check a couple of things first.
Does your blog actually encourage people to share your content?
To encourage traffic generation through syndication, you need to make it easy for your visitors, if it’s not easy, they just won’t do it.
Make sure you have the social media share buttons either at the top or bottom of the post or even by the side as I do (oh…. and whilst you’re looking, please click and share this article too, thanks! !!
)
So here’s some traffic generation and syndication ideas for you.
Some are slightly more advanced, some are paid and some are free, so just pick a handful and off you go!
TribePro – Free version available, however if you want to auto-syndicate then you will need to upgrade. You will need to syndicate other peoples content in exchange for them syndicating yours. This is very powerful as potentially you can have hundreds and even thousands of social media (the most powerful) shares all backlinking to your site. This service uses Onlywire, so you will need an account with both to make this work effectively.
Onlywire – 400 submissions free, or upgrade to paid version. You can download this submitter to your desktop to syndicate your own content, or use it with Tribepro above.
Social Monkee – 25 submissions for free, or upgrade to the paid version of 125 submissions 3 times a day. It is also possible to upgrade to 100 submissions 3 times a day by simply referring 12 members to Social Monkee too. No sharing of other peoples content is required
IM Automator – 15 free submissions, no sharing of other people’s content required.
Facebook Groups & Tribes – Free. Find Facebook groups and tribes in your niche and post your content there with your url to your blog. Be sure to comment and share other people’s content or they will not do the same for you.
Ezine Article Sites – Free Traffic generation strategy and there are many to choose from, however unless you are “spinning” your articles and using a submitter such as Article Marketing Robot, then just choose the large ones such as Ezine Articles or Go Articles and use the author signature box to create your backlink to your original article.
Blog Commenting – Another free traffic generation strategy. Find high ranking blogs in your niche that use the Comment Luv plugin. If you use the latest version of this plugin, you can go and post a useful comment on a high ranking blog and if it relates to an article that you wrote, then you can select your article from a dropdown that CommentLuv provides of your last 10 articles which gives you a very useful backlink on the same topic back to your blog. Very powerful!
Guest blogging – If you comment on a blog regularly you could ask to become a guest blogger on their site. This is particularly effective if it is a high ranking site in your niche as you will be allowed to put an author signature box at the end with a backlink to your blog.
Form Blogging Tribes – Find other people in your niche whom you like and respect who are at a similar traffic levels to you (ie it’s no good asking a 7-figure earner who already generates tons of traffic to their site!). Get a group of you together (you could create facebook group) and agree to start syndicating each others content to your social networks.
I hope you have found these traffic generation strategies useful and tomorrow I will go over some tools that I use to ensure my articles reach the coveted number 1 page of the search engines.

Hi Nicky
Another great post and absolutely them social media buttons certainly does help make it easier for visitors to help syndicate your blog content, especially as nobody likes to cut and paste links. Your recommendation of TribePro sound really interesting so l will certainly look into that. Another cool way to get blog content syndicated would be the use of apps like Twitterfeed which will post regular updates of your blog posts automatically for you, on to your facebook groups or fan pages.
Thanks again for sharing your recommended resources

Thanks Nigel – Yes TribePro is probably one of my biggest time savers and because it is shared on other people’s social media, it is very powerful in helping with the rankings.
Thanks for taking the time to comment,

Exactly Axel! – I never rely on one source of traffic, however whenever I am learning something new, I do focus on it for at least 90 days to try and master it and then see if it is giving some good results.

Hi Nicky,
Great list, I just comment on blogs I find that have useful articles for my business in general rather then just my niche and have seen some good results which makes me wonder if commenting on relevant blogs is really a requirement. Solid quality blogs seems to do the trick.

That’s interesting Nik, and yes I guess I do the same too, although most are very closely related to my niche. I have good results from this strategy too and also from Forum posting, however it is very time consuming, but well worth it if you have the time,
Thanks for your comments,

Well it’s only 15 links, but heck 15 backlinks is 15 backlinks and it’s a very quick and simple one to add to the daily syndication.

Nicky, I am always interested to hear what other bloggers are using to syndicate. And, I recently watched a webinar by the co-editor of Copyblogger, and he said being a guest blogger is one of the best ways to get tons of visitors to your blog. Thanks for this list.

Hi Val
Guest posting is great for attracting new visitors to your blog, so that’s a great tip, but if you don’t have time to do that, then making some good comments on your favourite high ranking blogs as soon as the post is online is also very effective, especially if they use CommentLuv and you have a related post. I use Google Reader to add my favourite blog feeds which then notifies me as soon as the post is up.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment,
Nicky
